7 Deadly Sins: Anger

Apr 19, 2026    Noah Tyler

Anger is not always sinful, so how can you tell the difference between Good Anger and Bad Anger? In this sermon from our Seven Deadly Sins series, we look at what anger is, how to tell the difference between righteous and sinful anger, and how to trace back anger to the heart.

While we think much of our anger is about fighting the ultimate justice, it turns out that a lot of our own anger is really about our wounded pride, control, and unforgiveness.

Through passages like Ephesians 4, James 1, Mark 3, Hebrews 12, and the stories of David and Esau, Pastor Noah Tyler shows how anger can become a foot hold for sin, distort our relationships, and burn down what matters most. But we will also look at the better way of Jesus: Receiving God's forgiveness, releasing bitterness, and finding freedom from the anger that so easily masters us.
