You might have had to earn a place at work, in your family growing up, and maybe you failed to.

But you don't need to earn a place in the family of God.

You just need to live in the place you've already been given.

Are you living like a slave when you're invited to be a son? Consider what it means to be a child of God, to be given and inheritance, and to live in love instead of fear.

- Because you belong, you can fight what once ruled you (v12-14)

- Because you belong, you can know God as Father (v15)

- Because you belong, you can face the future with hope (v16-17)
